a new week, a new wordpress
e and i were at adobe the other night for a web design user group type deal. basically several people suggest websites that we should look at, and then everyone (about 40 people) gets to raise their hand and voice concerns/opinoins/etc. in any case, this time wasn’t quite as fun as the last time, because the audience turned into a mob, criticizing websites without really giving them a chance. there are lots of old developers in the seattle area, and they can be crotchety.
- “This page is nothing more than a repository for ads!“,
- “I have no idea what the message of this site is!”
- “the nav on this site will be difficult for colorblind people“
But when we got the mini cooper website, did anyone complain that screen readers might have difficult with all the flash, or that search engines might not parse the site properly? absolutely not.
