heheh. i forgot to post this back when it was hot:
I hope it’s going to be the hottest day ever, because I finally got my air conditioner up and into my window last night, and now it’s blasting 72° air all over my room. I’m sitting reading about dennis cass, looking forward to hearing him talk about his brain at curran’s on the 12th of july, and making a point of writing this down to make sure I actually go. It will be my first ‘early bird breakfast’.
last night special K and I disassembled his futon and brought it over to his new digs. to be sure, some cabling work will be necessary in his new apartmont (great minds think alike, and do not compromise when it comes to ethernet cabling techniques) but all in all the new place looks nice. much, much nicer w/ a bianchi in the corner and some bookshelves than it did empty. now if only they put some icicle lights on their faux doorway-roof.
I’m in the process of reading ’stumbling on happiness.’ pretty good, so far. thanks to andrew for the recommendation.
update: I missed Dennis Cass, and I’m still upset. Maybe if I had clicked ‘Publish’ I would have remembered? As Andrew says, those Carleton Alumni reminders are difficult to remember, because they come out so early. Well I added mine to Google Calendar, but still managed to miss it. Perhaps I’ll forget to register for the reunion planning thing too…
