summer solstice
it’s kind of nice when the parents come by to visit. things you try not to mention to your friends too frequently command interest with parents. they like seeing your room, your plants, the bike you ride to work on, what shape your car is in, and the lake you used to walk around. my mother would have made the paparazzi proud with her rapid-fire pictures of me in my cubicle. we even got to do objectively interesting things. watch the red sox play the twins and see the locks operate, letting boats pass by st. anthony falls. next time, i hope it will be under different circumstances.
happy birthday, el! your present is in the mail. also to brice. the more status reports i write, the more i want to go to canada.
other news:
- with my fancy vpn to work, i can operate from home. team SCUR staggers into the 21st century.
- i’ve detected a clicking noise but can’t tell if it’s coming from my bike or from my right knee.
- i have a new haircut. for those of you who haven’t seen me, think junior year of college (incredibly sexy)
- ms fischer’s plants are growing strong, and i’m not sure i want to return them all. good air in here.
- enjoyed ‘an inconvenient truth’, to the degree that i asked for the book for this year’s birthday present. need to remember to watch more movies at the uptown theater, the lagoon and riverview. fewer at crown block E.
- chrissy’s leaving. crap!
- freak occurance meeting ‘dan’ at a trampled by turtles concert in downtown minneapolis. fingers still crossed regarding waterpark.
