turbo broken, check engine light fixed.
back in minnesnapolis and time for another post. a week in alaska spent with bald eagles, bears, orcas, humpbacks, ptarmigans and an assortment of humans. my first week in the new apartment spent alone with a cold, a cat with an ear problem, and a metric shit-ton of plants over-watered, under-watered, over-desired and under-performing.
some of the plants’ issues are yet-to-be-resolved. it’s possible i have too many avocado stalks. the younger members are spindly and sickly looking. i’ve started pruning them in the hopes that they’ll branch out. as oz would say, those stalks need some sammiches. he’s right. aluminum to the rescue. as elly would say, “they’re trees, right?”. perhaps i’ve chosen the wrong type of free plant. as brian would say, “that comes from the nut?”
this week’s been much better. i saw stealth in the best manner possible (pre-movie 25-ounce foreplay) and have been basking in the knowledge that two of my friends will stay in the area just a tad longer.
we have a dishwasher. and his name is not kevin or david. it’s ‘FRIGIDAIRE™ precision wash system’. not very talkative (silent, almost) but a hard worker.
i have a new bed. it comes from ikea, land of ‘our dark wood looks so much worse than our blonde wood so you might as well suck it up and buy something with birch veneer on it.’ so i did. my favorite thing about it is that i don’t get so many complaints (from hot ladies) anymore, but my second favorite thing about it is that my mattress feels better. and that i can sit up against the headboard, and that it inspires me to make my bed in the morning.
‘night guys. i’ll talk to you later.
