delicious

usually when i think of pleasant things to put up here i’m away from a computer. i’m in my car on the way to work listening to rjd2′s new album, taking ‘the last bike ride of the season’ or baking banana bread. vacuuming the place and washing dishes also seem to put me in a good mood.

i have been tunneling rather a lot of things through ssh recently. i must say, organizations that allow outbound ssh access are basically allowing outbound everything access via ssh. i’m rather surprised i haven’t seen/heard more excitement surrounding the topic. i’m guessing we haven’t gotten to the point where enough people use ssh for it to be an issue. all i can say is, thank you PuTTY, for allowing me to listen to music (from home) at work.

i busted out the (kevin’s) tripod recently and took some pictures. a prelude to nighttime winter photography. hendler & co (i’ve been invited too, but am notoriously lazy) have basically finished the ‘new’ photo system to which i should add my photos. if i can’t contribute code, i better at least contribute images.

thanks to hendler for pointing out another useful site, again. don’t think i would have found del.ico.us on my own. lots of nerds use it, apparently, because it’s as good at answering my bash scripting/ssh tunneling/raid configuring questions as google is.
