- i’m in a new place. about 3 blocks south of the old place, with a new person. his name rhymes with whandrew blowen.
- i’m making my way through another ed abbey book: ‘hayduke lives’. don’t listen to what people say on amazon.com. i’m really enjoying this book. maybe more than i did ‘monkey wrench gang’.
- spring is coming. i can tell because it’s still light when i leave work. also, my car starts in the morning.
- the album for this bi-week is doves - ‘the last broadcast’. i guess it reminds me of interpol, which is a welcome sound right about now.
- i had my first stromboli. it was ‘manhattan’ stromboli. mmm. stromboli.
- pretty soon i’ll have been eating for 23 years in a row.
- i’ve figured out that one of the pieces of metal on my pen at work does a great job of burnishing my ring. the silver band has been through a lot in the past 10 months and has acquired, among other things, scrapes and pits. most of these have been massaged into submission.
- i purchased 2 additional egg crate mattress enhancers. what i call my mattress is comprised five of these stacked together. it’s pretty nice now that my tail bone doesn’t grind against the floor while i try to fall asleep
