it was inevitable. our apartment is now bathed in 2.4 Ghz signals for the sole purpose of wireless inteweb.com access. so many fewer wires. turns out jane and kevin’s laptops both do not have batteries that work. also turns out i have no laptop at all, and that there is no readily available driver for linksys’ wmp54G wireless-G PCI adapter.
it is also snowing. and jason oswald is spending the weekend here, which has become synonymous with playing videogames, baking frozen pizzas and and making the weekly journey to best buy™. hence, wireless LAN.
last winter i was in australia and new zealand, and it’s impossible not to wish i were there. taking the plane from bradley airport to LAX was marvelous, as soon as I walked outside in the warm sunshine to the air new zealand check-in counter.
there will be a trip to california for christmas, though, and i look forward to hiking mt baldy with my sister
