lit crit lasagne festival took place this weekend. brice and sean were able to make it up, an schilmob came over from down the street. hopefully we will end up with a tradition on our hands. cold weather, rain, wind, and cold feet expected this week. but there should also be a fixed bicycle, a book arriving on interlibrary loan, and socks in the mailbox in the near future.
every day i make the 9 mile drive to roseville where i have just begun working at my new job. there’s free coffee, sometimes free pizza, and two computers at my desk.

this just in. there’s a car parked in my driveway. and it’s got minnesota plates on it. go gophers.
it’s always nice to see people i haven’t seen since the last time i was in amherst. this time it feels like I will be going away indefinitely. much more final than college. so i’m trying to make the most of it by playing brahms sonatas, clearing brush and taking apart the wooden pallets that were rotting in our yard, fixing computers, printing dad’s draft of his book, and taking kyleigh on long walks around the circle. it’s nice when the tree frogs come out and sing duples and triplets all night long.
tonight the red sox won while i copied down the recipe for ‘Lit. Crit. Lasagne‘… a superior version of American Style Lasagna. In fact, the recipe comes from Garrison Keillor’s college Shakespeare professor at the University of Minnesota, Sarah Youngblood.

bureaucratic adventures and the inevitability of buying a car. if all goes well, i’ll be driving to minnesota sometime late next week.
